The official race report service of Kawasaki Racing Team.

KX450-SR

The KX450–SR, the result of ongoing development by technicians from the Japanese factory’s Akashi race department and the KRT base in Europe, will be campaigned in the FIM World MXGP Motocross Championship by Belgium’s Clement Desalle and France’s Romain Febvre under the KRT banner; it is a natural cohesion of OE components and unobtainable exotic items such as Factory Showa suspension.

The 'SR' also reflects many of the same outstanding features found on the standard KX450 machine available from any Kawasaki off-road dealer with the leanest, most ergonomically-precise chassis ever on a KX450, a perfected E-starter with automated centrifugal decompression system and the exclusive finger-follower valve actuation, a valve train designed by Kawasaki’s MotoGP & World Superbike engineers which enables larger-diameter valves and more aggressive cams to derive the optimum from a new engine which boasts an increase in peak power of approximately 2.5 kW (3.4 PS) whilst maintaining Kawasaki's renowned low-rpm performance through a flatter torque curve to make it even easier to get on the gas at all times.

KX250F-SR

The KX250F was launched in 2004 and has been continually developed ever since. Successful in MX2, Arenacross on an international level and equally successful in national and club racing, the KX250F is a formidable racing machine. As the final step on the MX competition ladder before the demands of MXGP, and MX2, a racing machine needs agility, power and predictability as much as season-long durability and easy maintenance. The highly praised production KX250F scores highly in each regard and is “first pick” for many individual riders and racing teams across the world. Combining ultimate race-long performance and holeshot ability with enviable durability has been the challenge for Kawasaki’s engineers. The evidence is on show for all to see, a machine with podium potential that rewards riders with ease of riding characteristics making each moto a chance to be the first to see the chequered flag.
